EasyBackup is designed to backup files and folders, with or without compressing the data. Data can be backed up to local or network drives or to a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) site. Compressed backup files are in the ZIP format, which is an industry standard that most compression programs, such as the ever popular WinZip, can read and write. For data which is not compressed, the files are simply copied to the backup destination in an unaltered state (individual file date and time stamps can even be preserved if so desired).

You can use EasyBackup manually or set it up to run on a predetermined date and time, once or on recurring basis via the Windows Scheduler service installed on most all Windows PC’s. Scheduled backups allow you to define those critical files you wish save and execute EasyBackup in silent mode on a date and time of your choosing. EasyBackup only runs while it’s actually backing up your data, once it finishes it exits. It does not stay resident in your PC’s system memory like some backup utilities do. For additional information on the windows Scheduler, please refer to your computers online help system or Google “windows Scheduler”.

Choice of what to backup
You can select individual files to backup or entire folders with wildcards such as "*.*" for all files or "*.xls" for all Excel spreadsheet files.

Save data in multiple locations
You can choose to save your backups to a folder on your hard disk or to a remote FTP (File Transfer Protocol) site.

Choice of backup type
You can simply copy your files during the backup process or archive them to a ZIP file. If you choose the ZIP file format, you may add your own text to the ZIP archive comment field.

Flexible backup scheduling
Backups can be run manually or scheduled with the Windows Task Scheduler service installed on most PC's.

Perform an incremental or full backup
You can perform a full (all files are backed up every time the backup task is executed) or incremental (only files which have changed from the last backup are processed) backup.

Purchasing EasyBackup

EasyBackup is not free! EasyBackup is released under a software marketing method known as shareware. The essence of shareware is to provide you with software that you get to "try before you buy", while rewarding the efforts of the developers. When you think about it, the opportunity to try before you buy is the ultimate guarantee of a product's quality and usefulness to you. In fact, shareware can be just as professionally developed as software that comes in a fancy box (with a lot of hype and yet no way to determine issues such as the "look and feel", etc.), but the price of shareware can be set lower because it does not have to cover expensive marketing costs. Still, software businesses that market their products as shareware need to get paid for their efforts just as any other business. When you support the shareware concept, it ensures that the concept will continue to work and you will continue to get to "try before you buy". Thank you for understanding and honoring the "shareware" concept.

You may try EasyBackup for free for as long as you wish. If you decide to use EasyBackup on a regular basis, then you should purchase a license. You will receive a license key via email that you can enter into the program to change it from demo mode to professional mode.

EasyBackup operates in demo mode by default (with no license key present) which has a restriction that not more than 10 files may be backed up in one job.

Registering EasyBackup is simple and inexpensive, and entitles the registered user to:

• Free minor version updates (all upgrades for version 1.X.X are free)
• Low cost version updates (upgrades from 1.X.X to 2.X.X at a significant discount)
